Mr Mark Hanikeri

Mr Hanikeri holds an appointment as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Albany Regional Hospital and Osborne Park Hospitals. After completing his training in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery in Perth and Brisbane, Mr Hanikeri undertook further training in the United Kingdom, in facial reconstructive and cosmetic surgery as the Craniofacial Fellow in Chelsea and Westminster and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, He gained further experience in Cosmetic Breast and Facial Surgery at the Wellington and King Edward VII hospitals in London before returning to Perth to establish his Private Practice in Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.

Mr Hanikeri currently has operating sessions at St John of God Hospitals in Subiaco and Murdoch, Mercy Hospital, Bethesda Hospital and is accredited at St John of God Hospital in Bunbury, the Mount and Hollywood Hospitals.

Other Professional Activities
Mr Hanikeri has been involved in advisory committees for the development of clinical networks in Western Australia and in the development of the Fiona Stanley Hospital. He is actively involved in Charity work including trips to the Philippines in 2000, 2006 and 2007 as a member of the Operation Rainbow Cleft Lip and Palate Surgical Mission. Mr Hanikeri is involved in teaching GP’s and medical students surgical techniques and regularly lectures on plastic surgery to a variety of groups. He has publications in the Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal and the British Journal of Plastic Surgery and has presented papers at international Plastic Surgery meetings.
